‘Panic Mode’, an Apple patent that may allow a user to use Touch ID to alert authorities

Today, the USPTO published a patent application by Apple to allow a specific fingerprint to activate a 'panic mode' on an iOS device with Touch ID. The patent is designed so when the owner is feeling threatened or in distress they can immediately protect the contents of the device. But the patent can be taken a lot further...
