Force Touch was introduced on the Apple Watch, it was later introduced in the new MacBook, MacBook Pro and Magic Trackpad, followed by the iPhone 6s last fall. The Magic Mouse, on the other hand, did not get a refresh and is by far a 'drive by upgrade.' Besides a lightning port to charge the mouse, the Magic Mouse 2 did not get much of an upgrade....
